Introduction:SODADX 400mg/100mg (Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir)28 Film-Coated Tablet✅ Treats all HCV genotypes (1–6).✅ Once-daily oral pill (with/without food)
Indications:
Treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults and children (≥6 years or weighing ≥17 kg).
Dosage & Administration:
Standard dose: One tablet (400mg/100mg) once daily, taken orally with or without food.
Swallow whole—do not crush, split, or chew the film-coated tablet.
Missed dose: Take as soon as remembered if ≤18 hours late; otherwise, skip and resume the next day. Do not double dose.
Treatment Duration:
Genotypes 1–6 without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis: 12 weeks.
Genotype 3 with cirrhosis (in some cases): May require ribavirin (as prescribed).
Precautions:
Drug Interactions (consult doctor before taking with):
Strong CYP inducers (e.g., rifampin, carbamazepine, St. John’s wort)—may reduce efficacy.
Acid-reducing agents (PPIs, H2 blockers): Take 4 hours before omeprazole or famotidine.
Amiodarone: Contraindicated (risk of severe bradycardia).
Liver & Kidney Function:
Safe in mild to moderate liver/kidney impairment; monitor if severe.
Not recommended in severe decompensated cirrhosis (use alternative regimens).
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding:
No safety data—use only if clearly needed.
Velpatasvir may pass into breast milk (consult doctor).
